obama uses glittering generalizations in his campaign to emotionally apeal to his audience. His word choice is important/evident in two ways. By using a high value word such as "hope" or "change" he ties himself to their meanings.
vagueness leads the reader to jump the gun.

By portraying Clark Kent as a dairy consumer, the dairy industry uses "beautiful people" to entice you to try. In hopes of you becoming like them. This advertisment explicitly is a half truth since it directly says that milk is a "treat" for your bones when in reality its one of the worst things for it, alongside the rest of your health.

The Prius sells the image for an Ideal life, and the idea that you are good Samaritan
straw man argument - If you googled "are hybrids good for the enviorment?" you would know they are not
(this is a +100,000,000,000 billion dollar company taking advantage of your ignorance)
half truth - good mpgs (sort of) < horrible environmental impact, (acid rain, water table pollution, neurotoxin derivatives, ect.)
Ignorance cripples you and I the world.
